Yes, at SSPT we treat Worker’s Compensation patients.
SSPT participates with Medicare and is an out-of-network, or non-participating, provider with all other health insurance companies.
Many health insurance plans do provide coverage for physical therapy services provided by out-of-network providers. However, health insurance plans, policies, and terms vary greatly, and each person’s health care needs and expenditures are unique. Therefore, it is impossible for us to provide generalizations that will apply to each and every patient in the same way.
If you provide SSPT with your health insurance details, SSPT can contact your health insurer to obtain information about benefits and then provide you with details on your coverage before your first appointment. This will enable you to anticipate any out-of-pocket expenditure and help ensure there are no billing surprises. (We also recommend that you view your personal policy or consult with your insurance carrier to determine your level of coverage.)
That will depend on your insurance coverage and the benefits provided; however, most patients do make a payment at the time of treatment.
Yes, SSPT files our patients' primary insurance claims as a courtesy whenever possible. This removes the paperwork headache associated with the filing of your own health insurance claims. When SSPT submits claims on your behalf, it still remains your responsibility to ensure that the insurance company properly processes your claims.
